Most writing about corporate tax avoidance is a protest. This is a calculator. We think the facts make the case on their own, so we lay them out and let you do the sum.
If you run a small business, you have probably felt it. You file on time, you pay what you owe, and then you read that a company a thousand times your size paid a smaller share of its profit than you did. It is not your imagination, and it is not because you did something wrong. It is the system working as designed.
LoopholeKiln exists to explain that system in plain English, for the people it leaves holding the bill: small business owners, the self-employed, and anyone who pays their tax in full because they have no other option.
What we believe:
- The arithmetic is the argument. We show what you pay and what they pay, side by side, sourced, and we let the gap speak.
- The companies are not the villains. They follow the rules. The rules are the story, and the governments who write them are accountable for them.
- We name no one we cannot back with the public record. Where we do name a company, it is because a court, a Parliamentary committee, a regulator or the company's own filings put it there first.
- We give it away. No fee, no funnel, no data harvested. If a thing is meant to help you, it should not cost you your details to read it.
We are small business people, not campaigners and not tax advisers. We are not selling a scheme, and there is nothing here to buy. We just think you should be able to see the maths.
